PHIC’s in-school work gives students accurate, age-appropriate sexual and reproductive health information, education and communication (IEC), and safe spaces to ask the questions that matter to them, often for the first time. This runs through supported school health clubs and school-wide IEC sessions alike.

PHIC works with over 15 primary and secondary schools to deliver these impact sessions that empower Adolescents with accurate information delivered by trained Health workers. With these information, Adolescents and young people are equipped to make meaningful decisions about their bodies and futures. PHIC projects is tackling high teenage pregnancies, child marriages, HIV/STIs among adolescent and young people and making sure they are information to prevent and seek appropriate timely help whenever necessary.

Whether through a full-school assembly or a smaller health club meeting, the goal is the same: equip students with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about their own health.

The school health clubs established with in school are a platforms integrated into the school co-curricular architecture for sustainability and are headed by a designated club patron who are mostly senior woman or senior men teachers.
