For many families and communities, one of the barriers to accessing sexual and reproductive health services is distance to health care facilities. PHIC’s mobile integrated SRH community outreaches close that gap, bringing family planning, HIV/STI and reproductive health services and information directly into underserved communities, including hard-to-reach communities.
PHIC works with public health facilities to deliver community SRH Integrated Health outreaches in several communities including Namayumba, Masulita, Kampala tax park, Kajjansi Town council, Kasangati, Wakiso among other location. During these camps, PHIC health workers along side health workers from public health facilities lead community health education talks alongside service delivery, including tests, treatment and referrals.
